Therapeutic coaching is a collaborative space to support you through moments in life when you feel stuck. While therapy often supports longer-term healing and deeper emotional processing, therapeutic coaching offers another form of support when you’re seeking clarity and direction in a specific life area. It is short-term, focused, specific, present-centered and future-driven, supporting you finding grounded, meaningful next steps towards your goal.
What is the difference between Therapy or Coaching?
Therapy
Processes past and present experiences
Supports healing from trauma and mental health concerns
May include diagnosis and treatment
Explores patterns and emotional experiences
Can be longer-term and open-ended, depending on needs
May continue over months or years
Therapeutic Coaching
Focuses on present and future growth
Supports life transitions, goals, and feeling stuck
Does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions
Builds skills, clarity, and aligned action
Typically more focused and time-limited, centered on specific goals or areas of support
Often structured around a set number of sessions or a defined support period
There is often overlap between therapy and coaching—therapy may include elements of coaching, and coaching may draw on therapeutic-informed support, but they differ in focus and intention.
